Janet J. Giris


Ms. Giris is a member of the Land Use and Zoning practice group. Ms. Giris represents real estate owners, developers, retailers and other commercial and not-for profit enterprises. She is well versed in all types of land use applications including complex urban redevelopment projects and the State Environmental Quality Review Act.   

Ms. Giris is experienced in representing owners, developers, and end-users in all aspects of real estate development including actions before local legislatures, planning boards and zoning boards, as well as appeals of municipal decisions and land use litigation. In addition, she represents many clients in connection with Industrial Development Agency projects, including private activity bond financing, economic development programs and other governmental programs.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Giris was a Deputy Town Attorney with the Town of Greenburgh, New York.
